Meet Chelsea

image(17) Hello, everyone! I’m Chelsea Robertson, a sophomore at Lincoln Memorial University double- majoring in English and psychology with a science and research concentration. I already have so many interests, but I am excited to learn about as many subjects as I can to see what my other passions are! I am involved in the Honors Student Association (HSA) and Psychology Club and I am hoping to get more involved in the very near future. When I’m not working on schoolwork I enjoy reading anything I can get my hands on, obsessing over Star Trek and Harry Potter, and getting together with my friends for Friday evening movies.

With me, what you see is what you get. Except for the mustache. I don’t actually have one of those.

I am a native of Lancaster, California, but I grew up right here in east Tennessee. I attended Gibbs High School in Corryton, Tennessee, which is just down the road from Knoxville. There I was involved in a variety of clubs and organizations, including National Honor Society, Scholars’ Bowl (it’s like team Jeopardy!), Student Government, Latin Club, Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society, and many more. It was an incredibly busy four years, but I would not trade that experience for anything.

I am not yet sure what I would like to do once I graduate from LMU, but I do know that I want to further my education. My top choice would be to go for my Ph.D. in cognitive psychology once I graduate here in Tennessee or somewhere in California. Science and research have always been passions of mine, so I cannot wait for what lies ahead. There are a lot of unknowns for me right now, but I think that’s the best part of life! Knowing that I have a world of opportunities available to help me find my what my passions are is what gives my life meaning.

I’m very excited to have you with me as I start on this amazing journey! While I’ve only just begun, I know that it is great to be a Railsplitter!

Have any questions, post suggestions, or comments? I would love to hear from you!
